Privacy policy
This page describes what data is processed when you visit sustainability-squad.de. The statements were verified against the running site, not taken from a template.
The short version
- ·No cookies and no browser storage. Neither cookies nor local storage nor session storage.
- ·No third-party requests. Map tiles, fonts and data all come from this domain. Even the analytics runs on our own server.
- ·Your IP address is not passed on. Where the site embeds external services (wildfire layers), it does so through its own proxy, which does not forward the IP.
- ·No account, no login, no form. There is nowhere for you to enter data.
Controller
Carsten Krause; address and contact in the legal notice. No data protection officer has been appointed; the conditions requiring one are not met.
Visiting the site (server logs)
When you load a page, your browser transmits technically necessary data to the server: IP address, time, requested address, status code, volume transferred, browser identification and, where applicable, the referring page. The purpose is delivering the site and defending against faults and abuse. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is secure operation. The logs are not analysed, not combined with other data and not archived. They rotate automatically and are overwritten after 30 megabytes at the latest, in practice after a few days.
Analytics (Umami, self-hosted)
To see which pages are read, Umami is used, open-source software running on the same server as this site. There is no transfer to third parties; the host analytics.ck71.com belongs to the same operator. Umami sets no cookies and stores no IP addresses. A hash is formed from IP address, browser identification and a daily rotating random value, from which the inputs cannot be recovered; it only serves to distinguish visits roughly within one day. Recorded are the page visited, the referring page, country, device type and browser. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Since no information is stored on or read from your device, no consent under § 25 TDDDG is required in our assessment. That is why there is no consent banner on this site. You can object by enabling “Do Not Track” in your browser or by blocking the script; the site works fully without it.
Maps and subject data
The base map (OpenStreetMap data, prepared as Protomaps tiles) and the fonts are served from this domain. There is no connection to third-party map services. The subject data (emitters, climate records, wildfire, low water) are prepared files on this server. Your browser contacts no external party for them. One exception, with a safeguard: the optional live layers on the extreme weather page come from EFFIS/Copernicus. Those requests run through a proxy on this server, which makes the request on your behalf. Your IP address is not passed on, and no cookies are relayed.
Cookies and browser storage
This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in local or session storage. You can verify this yourself in your browser's developer tools; the claim is made here because it is checkable.
Hosting
The site runs on a server operated by netcup GmbH, Daimlerstraße 25, 76185 Karlsruhe, Germany, in its Nuremberg data centre. There is no transfer to third countries. The provider processes the log data described above as a processor under a contract pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). In practice there is nothing about you to retrieve here: no account is kept, no IP address is stored, and no identifier is held that would let requests be attributed to a person. Independently of that, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
